PDYC Sailing
SailPass is a free form of introductory short-term daily club membership, which has been developed in part to ensure there is a way for non-members or casual sailors to go racing in compliance with RRS rule changes effective from January 1, 2022.
Port Douglas Yacht Club proudly presents the 2022 Port Douglas Race Week, and invites all yachts to join us for a week of Sailing, Food & Fun. May 24th to 28th 2022.
Club racing operates under club handicapping rules based on the Performance Handicap System.

Wednesday afternoon Go Sailing!
Join us every Wednesday and let our very generous members take you sailing! Places are strictly by invitation of the skipper. Numbers are limited depending on the boats available each week.
Club organised sailing events operate in accordance with club sailing and safety policies and the safety requirements of Australian Sailing Special Regulations.

Club sailing is seriously fun filled and cruisy!
The serious stuff makes up the Club Championship, the fun events are more relaxed, and the cruising is just about as casual and cruisy as can be.
PDYC owns and operates two J24 sailing boats, solely for the benefit of members. These boats are managed by PDYC Sailing Committee. Members can sail a J24 in the capacity as either skipper or crew in accordance with PDYC Safety Management Plan and the J24 Sailing Fleet Rules.
